| I guess that is the picture she is going to use? It would be better if she actually stuck the label on a candle and then took a picture.

Ok, I just got back to this post. I got the picture off of Betty Crocker.com. I turned it into a label. I can only put the pictures on here. I can seem to show my whole label. Dah!!! My camera is down, so I can't take a picture of the whole candle. But I love the picture and thought it would do well with the name for fall. Now does that make sense?

You can't steal other people's/companies images and use them for labels or your website.

irritated because you can't come up with anything unique and your own? it's not okay to steal other people's art, images, text, or hard work. if it were your site/products someone was pulling all of the images from and using them to sell their wares and put on their site would you be okay with that? just stealing your images and labels and claiming them as their own??

It's not being the candle police. It's called following the law, and respecting other peoples property.
It is illegal to take someone elses images and use them in a commercial application, without express written consent....etc. Betty Crocker owns those pics, they are copyrighted. None of us can use them, period.
I see tons of chandlers that just go to Google and pull up an image, and use it on their labels. You can't do that. You can buy rights to images from tons of places, but to just go and steal one (and this is stealing) is wrong.
What if someone goes to your site, copies your image and uses it on their products to sell and profit? Not so nice now, huh.

What exactly is a Yankee dupe? People here are always looking for dups of someone else's work. I think dup = copy.
Just a non-photographic thought.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to quickly learn that (somehow, someway) there's absolutely no comparison between copying a Yankee fragrance and copying a Betty Crocker photo.
By the way .... I didn't ask Google for permission to use their logo over there on the right. I stole that little American Flag from somewhere and turned it into a circle and I did not go out to the meadow and shoot that picture of Daisies in the logo.

Different ballgame from intellectual or image copywright.
